Focus
This Work Package aims at ensuring that the project is appropriately managed in all relevant aspects and that the different tasks are performed according to the project plan, ensuring that specific results are delivered on time and obtained within the budget.
Task
Task 1.1: Administrative and financial project management
UNIFI will guarantee that the different tasks are performed according to the project plan, ensuring that specific results are delivered on time and obtained within the budget. During the kick-off meeting the partnership will approve and establish: the Steering Committee (responsible for assessing and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the activities and the scientific excellence of the outputs), and the International External Advisory Board (an external committee to support the impact of the project, advise and review).
Task 1.2: Project Quality and assessment
During the kick-off meeting the partnership will discuss and approve a Project Quality Plan and a Risk Management Plan.
Task 1.3: Ethics and data management
This task ensures the project’s adherence to relevant ethical standards and compliance with EU legislation on data protection and privacy requirements. The Project Quality Plan will describe in detail how the data will be collected and processed, and how the population of the target group will be involved.
Task 1.4: Communication Management
Internal communication problems are among the major risk factors that can jeopardise the success of a project. This task will prevent communication problems, fostering good information delivery among partners. A formal Internal Communication Plan will be signed during the kick-off meeting.
Task 1.5: Set up of the CARE4CARE Network
Set up of the CARE4CARE Network (CCN) involving countries in the Consortium and intended to expand over time to other interested countries and stakeholders.
Task 1.6: Open access scientific publication
After the conclusion of the second year of the project, partners will start working on materials for the relisation of the final scientific publication.

Who’s in first line
UNIFI, as Coordinating Partner, will oversee the management activities of the project implementing planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures, as well as administering and managing the budget. Furthermore, it will constitute the project reference for the European Commission. In particular, CARE4CARE project will be supported by the University’s Research Projects Unit, staffed by permanent and temporary members. The Office has been successfully coordinating international multidisciplinary projects since 2004 and very relevantly to this project has over 10 years of experience in handling projects in the framework of many different European programmes.
