PRESS RELEASE

On 16th March 2023, the University of Florence will host the launch event of the Horizon project ”CARE4CARE” at the Lecture Hall in Piazza San Marco 4, Florence (Italy).

Since 1st January 2023, the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Florence has coordinated a consortium consisting of 10 European partners, including TOUR4EU, organisation that represents the seven Tuscan universities in Brussels as well as the Universities of Lund, Girona, Seville, the Europa-Universität Viadrina, Rzeszów, Bordeaux, together with the European Federation for Family Employment (EFFE) and the European Federation for Services to Individuals (EFSI).

With a budget of more than EUR 2.7 million over a three-year period, the CARE4CARE project will study the risks and conditions that put so-called ‘care workers’ in vulnerable positions and their perception in the labour market within six EU member states: France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden.

The project aims to create tools to improve job quality of care workers as well as combating discrimination in their sector. During the event there will be a presentation of the project to citizens as well as a partners’ meeting and a detailed description of the work packages, activities, and the members of the consortium.

The seminar is open to regional and national stakeholders.
